Carolina Shopping Skinner and the 5th OVR Pick

Hi all! I've been informed that Carolina has been shopping Skinner or the 5th OVR pick for a top 4 defenseman. The NY Rangers and Toronto have been discussing a trade with Carolina. Michael Del Zotto and Marc Staal are names discussed in a NYR-CAR deal. Dion Phaneuf and Jake Gardiner are names that Carolina wants but GM Dave Nonis will not part with Gardiner in this particular deal. Before NYR fans start to rip on me for saying Staal, ask yourselves this... The Rangers need a young top line forward, and with Staal's vision up in the air, why not take the chance to get a guy like Jeff Skinner who gives the NYR the speed and athleticism that can boost the NYR farther into the playoffs. And to the Leafs fans... Hey, your trading Dion :)
